Leopard found dead

A two-and-a-half-year-old female leopard was found dead in a farm near Coonoor, about 25 km from Ooty today.
The carcass was found at Kolakambai by a few workers today who informed the forest department. A ranger and a veterinarian rushed to the spot.
After carrying out the post mortem, veterinarian, Dr. Parthasarathy said that it was a natural death. The animal was buried later.
However, some environmentalists and nature lovers claimed that there was remote possibility for a two-and-a-half-year old leopard to die a natural death and demanded an inquiry.
