Leopard sighted by 3 students

The elusive leopard, which was spotted by women who went for their morning walks, was reportedly seen by three students on the roads of Thudiyalur last evening.

According to the police, Ajith, a Class X student, along with his brother, was returning home, when he noticed the animal cross the road some 10 metres away. He immediately ran house and informed his parents. Meanwhile, reports surfaced that another student too had seen the animal in the Meenakshi Garden area. He said that he saw the leopard moving near the bushes.

Following the reports, officials of the forest department arrived at the scene and assured the residents that they would drive the stray leopard away.
