The Mahila Court here today sentenced a man to undergo life imprisonment for murdering his wife three years ago.
Rajendran, an agricultural worker hailing from Chidambaram and residing in Sundakkamurthur here was suspecting the fidelity of his wife Kasthuri and used to pick up frequent quarrels with her.
On November 12, 2013, Rajendran, in a fit of anger, stabbed Kasthuri with a knife, killing her on the spot.
The judge, G. Raja, today awarded life sentence to Rajendran for the murder and imposed a fine of Rs.5,000, failing which he would undergo another six months imprisonment.
