You don’t have to own a fancy motorbike to be a part of this biking community. All you need is passion for the bikes. Started by Tirupur-based biker Manoj Vijayakumar in 2014, the Lone Wolf community of bikers currently has about 22 members who have one thing in common – they are all biking enthusiasts.
Members of this group include retired army colonel Venugopal P., entrepreneurs, and even students. The community also has three female members.
“We are all connected through our Whatsapp group. Most of the discussions about our next bike ride take place on our Whatsapp group,” Ronald Shalo, the youngest member of Lone Wolf Bikers community, says.
We are told that the members of this group venture on bike rides to different locations every month. The group makes a one-day trip every month, without fail. Once in three months, they venture on a two-day biking trip, and, once in six months, they embark on a weeklong biking trip. Destinations they have covered on their bikes include Aliyar, Yercaud, the Nilgiris, and Kodaikanal, among others.
This month-end, the Lone Wolf Bikers community has plans to go on a day’s trip on their bikes. The place will be finalized soon on the Whatsapp group.
