Lorry driver arrested for slapping woman cashier

A lorry driver was arrested today for slapping beating a cashier at a hotel in Anamalai following a dispute over non-payment of bill.
According to police, the driver, Ilango from Nagore, along with his four friends had taken food at the hotel in Valanthaimaram near Anamalai last night.
The supplier gave the bill for Rs.450 and asked him to pay at the counter, where 20-year old Kalaiselvi was sitting.
As Ilango refused to pay the bill and in the arguments that followed, Ilango slapped Kalaiselvi twice and left the place.
Based on a complaint from Kalaiselvi, police arrested Ilango this morning and remanded to custody.
