Man arrested for selling pirated DVDs

A 54-year-old man was arrested and remanded for selling pirated CDs and DVDs here on Monday.
According to sources, the accused, A. Sundaram (54) of Ganapathy, was reportedly selling pirated CDs and DVDs in front of a music store in Singanallur. Around 12 CDs and DVDs and around Rs.200 in cash were recovered from the accused.
The Singanallur police have registered cases under the Copyright Act and remanded Sundaram to custody.
