Unable to bear the humiliation from a private finance firm over car loan issue, John Felix attempted suicide by consuming kerosene around midnight yesterday. He was hospitalised.

According to police, some goons reportedly hired by a private finance firm trespassed into the house of John Felix late night when he was not present and addressed his wife and family members in foul language, for not repaying the dues of the loan taken to buy a car.

When Felix got to hear about the incident, he was very upset and reportedly consumed kerosene to end his life, in his house in Podanur, police said.

Relatives rushed him to Government Hospital around midnight, where he was recovering, they said.

Further investigations are on, police said.
