Man found murdered, police questions live-in partner

A 32-year-old man was found murdered in Mettupalayam today. The man is suspected to have been killed by throwing a boulder on his head.
According to police, passers-by noticed the body, with bleeding injuries on the head and the neck, lying in Kurumbanur, about 40 kilometres from Coimbatore, and immediately informed the nearby police station this morning.
The deceased was identified as Vimal, and police have taken a 26-year-old woman, Anbukkarasi, who was living with Vimal for the last few months, for questioning. Senior police officials, including SP Ramya Bharathi, visited the spot. Further investigations are on.
