Man held for groping women in Thrissur

Thrissur police arrested a 30-year-old man for groping women walking on deserted roads.

According to sources, Sanil of Wadakkancherry, would move around in his two wheeler wearing a helmet. On the pretext of snatching their chains, he would grope the women, police said.

Recently, a woman residing near Vimala College lodged a complaint with the police about an attempt made by the youth to snatch her chain. Police had received complaints of failed chain snatching attempts but not a single lady had actually lost the chain. Following this, police launched a manhunt, collected footages of CCTV cameras placed in the area and zeroed in on the accused.
