MEA denies permission to Kerala Minister to go to China

Kerala: The Centre has denied permission to State Tourism Minister Kadakampallly Surendran to attend the global tourism meet in China.

Surendran was planning to lead a team from the State to attend the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) Commission for East Asia and Pacific meeting at Chendgdu from September 11 to 16.

The travel papers were submitted to the External Affairs Ministry, which rejected his application.

The matter has been taken up with the Prime Minister’s Office.
