The body of medical student, Sharath Prabhu, who was found dead in his Delhi residence two days ago, was today buried in his native town of nearby Tirupur.

Prabhu was found dead on Wednesday near the toilet in the apartment where he was staying with some others.

The body was handed over to his father P Selvamani and relatives after post mortem in AIIMS there last evening.

The body of first-year UCMS student was brought to Coimbatore last night and taken by a car to the house in Parapalayam in Tirupur.

Even as Delhi police were investigating the cause of the death, whether it was due to high dose of insulin and other medicines, Selvamani had raised doubts on the death as a red scar was found on his neck.

A large number of people, including friends and students, paid homage and after performing last rites, the body was taken to the burial ground in the presence of relatives.
