Members of Hindu outfit detained

A total of 28 persons, belonging to Hindu Makkal Katchi, were detained here today, while they were attempting to organise ‘manju virattu, a type of Jallikkattu.
As activists were preparing for the sport with bulls in Singanallur in the city, police rushed to the area and prevented the members from going on with the event.
The detained members will be released in the evening.
