Rail service between Mettupalayam and Coonoor has been cancelled for one more day on Sunday due to the delay in clearing the debris from the railway tracks.

The Salem Division of the Southern Railways had cancelled the services for three days from Thursday following a major landslide between Hillgrove and Kallar stations.

The Heritage train, a major attraction for tourists, starts from Mettupalayam at 7.10 a.m. and reaches Coonoor around 10 a.m. en route Udhagamandalam.

However, train services between Coonoor and Udhagamandalam would continue as usual.
