Mettur Dam-Salem passenger train cancelled

The Salem Division of the Southern Railway has cancelled the Mettur Dam-Salem passenger train (Train No 56103) due to the ongoing construction work of a bridge between Omalur and Macheri Road.
The Erode-Mettur Dam passenger train (Train No 56100) has been partially cancelled and it will run between Erode and Salem only, said a press release.
“In the slip coaches of Train No.11063 Chennai Egmore-Salem Express, bound for Mettur Dam S-9 and one general second class coach are being cancelled, between Salem and Mettur Dam. They will terminate at Salem itself,” the release added.
