Middleman Sukesh’s custody extended till Sept 16

The judicial magistrate court here today extended the custody of middleman Sukesh till September 16 in connection with a cheating case filed by a kitchen equipment dealer in the city.

Sukesh, lodged in Tihar jail in connection with Two Leaves election symbol case involving AIADMK leader TTV Dhinakaran, was brought here by Delhi police in the early hours to hear the case lodged by Rajavelu. He has accused Sukesh of cheating him in 2010 of Rs 2.43 lakh on the promise of getting him a tender awarded by Karnataka government.

The accused was produced before 2nd Judicial Magistrate Rajkumar, who in turn extended his custody and ordered that Sukesh be produced on September 16.

The charges under Section 420 were framed against Sukesh and his father on July 20. Sukesh was taken to Delhi by train amid tight security later.
