Mobile phone snatchers on the prowl

A 19-year-old private college student from Sivaganga was relieved of his mobile phone by a motor-bike borne duo when he was waiting at a bus stop at Radhakrishna Mills junction on Avinashi Road.
The men pushed Sudhakar down before making away with his phone worth Rs20,000.
In another incident, 24-year-old private company employee Sathish was waiting at the New India bus stop on Avinashi Road, when bike-borne men snatched his mobile phone.
Peelamedu police are investigating.
