In the past Vijay Anand TR, the Coimbatore-based short film maker, has created several message-oriented short films. A few months ago, he was approached by the Round Table North 20 (RTN 20) to make a short film to create awareness on road safety among the people of Coimbatore. Keeping this in mind, Vijay prepared a script and got it approved by the RTN 20.

This short film, we are told, is no longer than 25 minutes, and it has about 15 people acting in it. About 50 people, including technicians, have worked in this short film. Vijay assures that the film has something for everyone. “It is called ‘Moira,’ the Greek Goddess of fate, time, and destiny. Since this short film is also about fate, time and destiny, we have named it ‘Moira,’” Vijay says.

The entire short film was shot in Coimbatore in four days. Major portions of ‘Moira’ have been shot on the city roads. Post-production works are on and the film is expected to be screened next month.

Vijay is hoping to spread the awareness about road safety through ‘Moira.’
