National Digital Library Club District Workshop conducted

National Digital Library Club Workshop was conducted at Krishnammal College for women recently to create an awareness on the importance of starting a club for a national digital library in institution. Librarians, NSS Programme Officers and Faculty members from various colleges and schools around the city attended this workshop.
Around 85 participants enrolled themselves online. Dr. A.Kumudha , Dean ,International Academic affairs addressed the convention. Dr.L.Santhi, Head, Department of Library and NDLI Nodal officer of the PSGRKCW delivered an introductory address detailing the components of workshop.
Dr.Vignesh Sornamohan, Chief Strategic and Outreach Officer, NDLI, IIT Kharagpur, detailed about the importance of NDLI, emerging trends in libraries and NDLI digital resources among others. Umamaheswari, famous tamil author and public speaker was the chief guest and she shared her views on digitisation of books.
The participants were given hands on training using mobile applications on usage of NDLI and performed skits forming groups among themselves.
