New model Electronic Voting Machine on display

The new electronic voting machine was kept for display at the Collectorate for the general public to try and have a first hand experience.
This improvised model includes a VVPAT 3 attachment unit, which projects the symbol and name of the party, for which one has to vote immediately and after this the vote is registered in the ballot. This ensures that the voter confirms that his/vote vote has been placed correctly without any discrepancies.
S. Uma Maheswari, Deputy Tasildar (Election duty) of South Taluk Coimbatore told the Covai Post that this new model will remove any doubts from the minds of voters on whether their votes have been recorded properly.
