No water supply from Pillur on March 28

The Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board (TWAD) has decided to stop distribution of Pillur water on March 28, in order to carry out maintenance works in the Pillur Drinking Water Scheme, here in Coimbatore.

In a statement, the TWAD board has stated that areas which benefit under the scheme including Ganapathy, Kalapatty, Thudiyalur, Vellakinaru, Chinnavedampatty, Kurichy, Saravanampatty, Vilankurichi and Kumutham Nagar in Cheran Managar in the Corporation, Palladam, Goodalur, Idigarai, Sarkar Samakulam, Veerapandy Kannampalayam, Chettipalayam, Othakalmandapam, Ettimadai, Periyanaikanpalayam and Karumathampatty Pachayats; Sulur, Sulthanpattai, Madukkarai, and Pongalur villages and 508 other villages will not receive water on March 28.

The statement also said that water distribution will resume from 12.00 am on the March 29, after the completion of the maintenance works.
