Here, one is prescribed simple meditation and yoga, breathing and stretching exercises, depending on their need. It also has on offer natural treatments like mud bath, herbal mud bath and herbal mud packs that go a long way in helping those who suffer from various diseases and disorders.

No. This is not a spa or a yoga centre, but The Naturopathy and Lifestyle Modification Clinic of the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH). From September 2014 it has been lending a helping hand to people from different walks of life who suffer from different diseases and disorders. This clinic is headed by Dr. V. Bhuvineswari.

“Lifestyle diseases like obesity, diabetes and stress have not spared even the young. At this clinic we offer simple yet scientifically proven techniques to help people deal with various diseases, especially lifestyle disorders,” says Dr. Bhuvineswari.

The team of experts at this clinic study and analyse every patient that visits them. They then suggest changes in diet and lifestyle that can help in curing the disease that the patient is suffering from. Till date this centre has successfully helped several patients fight obesity, psychiatric disorders, thyroid, blood pressure, and stress among other ailments.

Dr. Bhuvineswari clarifies that this centre does not recommend that patients give up their regular medicines and course of treatment that is prescribed by the doctor. Instead, this centre works towards suggesting additional curative and preventive measures in the form of yoga, meditation, breathing, stretch exercises and lifestyle modifications that can help in hastening the treatment of diseases and disorders.

On any given day this centre is visited by at least a hundred patients. This centre works on all days including Sundays. Visiting hours are between 8.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. This centre is located in the CMCH campus next to the blood bank.
