Nurture Nature Camp (NNC) is an initiative of NGO Siruthuli, aimed at school children. At the camp, children are taught about waste management, afforestation, agriculture, and water resources management.

This year, the camp will be organised from April 18 – 23 at multiple locations across Coimbatore. Srividya Narayanan, Geetha Sridhar, Rajesh Govindarajulu, Anu Valentina, and Uma K. Rao are expected to train the students at the camp this year.

A press note from the NGO stated that generating awareness is an important part of Siruthuli’s efforts towards protecting the environment. Children, being our future, form the core thrust area of the NGO’s awareness activities. Year after year, Siruthuli trains students about the environment and guides them in becoming eco-warriors of the future.

So far, in the past nine years, the city-based NGO has given more than 1,000 youngsters a new perspective about the environment and how to sustain and nurture it.
