One kilo gold bars seized

Customs officials today seized one kilo gold bars, being smuggled to the city from a passenger from Sharjah in the City International Airport.
According to police, officials grew suspicious about the behaviour of a youth, who arrived in Air Arabia flight around 4 a.m. On search, they found one kilo gold bars hidden in the rectum of Saravanan, a native of Kancheepuram in Tamil Nadu.
After taking him to the hospital to remove the gold bars, Saravanan was handed over to police, who are interrogating about the source of supply and destination for delivering the smuggled gold.
