Oppn parties stage demo against NEET

Over 1,000 workers belonging to all political parties, barring AIADMK and BJP, on Wednesday staged a demonstration in the city seeking exemption to Tamil Nadu from NEET.

Led by DMK, the workers raised slogans against the Centre for working against social justice and also Tamil Nadu Government for not criticising the steps taken by the Centre.

District leaders of Congress, CPI-M, CPI, VCK and Thanthai Periyar Dravida Kazhagam participated in the demonstration.

Similar demonstration was held at Tiruppur, were more than 800 activists participated.
