Expressing heartfelt condolences on the demise of 70 infants in Gorakhpur hospital in Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu BJP president, Tamilisai Soundararajan today accused political parties of playing politics over the dead infants.

Despite the government and State Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath swinging into action and ordering an inquiry, opposition parties have been politicising the tragedy, Tamilisai told reporters here.

“Congress MP, P Chidabaram is seeking the resignation of Yogi. Actually speaking, he should retire from politics. The pathetic conditions of most of the States in the country was the making of the Congress,” she alleged.

Taking on actor, Kamal Hassan, Tamilisai said that he had to set right issues in his field and then think of entering the political arena.

On NEET, the BJP leader said that the political parties were actually confusing the students with their opinions and suggestions merely for political gains.

She condemned MDMK General Secretary, Vaiko for inciting people for indulging in politics of violence (over ONGC issue).
