Over 36,000 benefit under PM Farmers Scheme launched today

Coimbatore : The District Collector, P Rajamani today handed over Rs.2,000 each to 100 beneficiaries under Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi launched by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
The disbursal marked the launch of the scheme in the District in the first phase.
A total of 69,000 applications have been received for the scheme, where the government will provide Rs.6,000 to the small and medium farmers who are holding below five acres of land.
Of this, 36,016 applications were found in order with proper documents, official sources said.
The collector asked the eligible farmers to avail the scheme by submitting valid documents.
