Over 500 kg banned plastic materials seized in one week

In the continued drive Corporation officials seized over 500 kgs of banned plastic materials in the city limits.
The seizure of 510 kgs of materials below 50 micronaire was made during raids at 299 shops from May 20 to May 26 in five zones of the Corporation, a release from the Corporation Commissioner, Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan, said today.
Plastic materials below the stipulated micron were banned in the city from May 1 and stringent legal action will be taken against those traders, who violated the ban, he said.
