‘Bigg Boss’ sensation and actor Oviya has updated her twitter account. And, the update has cheered up scores of her Tamil fans.

What does the Sept 4 update say? It says she is single and satisfied. The tweet has been receiving thousands of likes and retweets – 60,000 likes, 15,000 retweets and 8,500 comments until now.

Oviya, who hails from Kerala, reached new heights of fame and stole hearts after she appeared in the ‘Bigg Boss’ reality show telecast by Vijay TV.

So, why does this tweet leave a bittersweet feeling among her fans? A short flash back.

She got attached to Aarav, co-bigg boss contestant, in a short span, thanks to the reality show.

Initially, the chemistry between the two seemed spontaneous. But, once Oviya told Aarav that she is in love with him, he looked a bit startled. There grew a gap between them. But when the other Big Boss contestants Gayathri, Namitha and Julie ganged up and discriminated Oviya, Aarav was there to support and comfort her.

Just when everything was going fine between them, Aarav again maintained a little distance with Oviya. The reasons he spelt out were: he has a career to concentrate; he was not sure how the television was portraying both, and he has always been clear that he did not love her.

A very disturbed Oviya had a few nervous breakdowns in the following episodes. She wanted to sit with Aarav and trash out the differences. They did sit together and talk about it, but Oviya found it hard to accept when Aarav said he was not in love with her.

Very much confused and depressed, she even attempted suicide once, after which she left the Bigg Boss house. Even after leaving Bigg Boss , she was sure of her love. She had even confessed that to Kamal Hassan when she met him for the last time in the show.

Many weeks after her elimination from the programme, she still lives in the hearts of the Tamil people all over the world due to her forthright nature which she carried during her stay in the show. Now wonder, her ‘single and satisfied’ tweet has evoked an overwhelming response as her fans are now happy that she has come out of the ‘Aarav syndrome’ and all is well with her.
