Party cadre undertake poojas for CM’s speedy recovery

AIADMK cadres conducted special homams and poojas at the famous Aathi Sivasakthi Siddhar Gnana Peedam at Karkavayal village near Pattukottai today seeking divine blessings for the speedy recovery of Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
Since Jayalalithaa was hospitalised for alleged fever and dehydration at Apollo Hospitals in Chennai, the party’s technical wing joint secretary and the Tamil Nadu Cable TV Owners Association general secretary J Jeeva organised Maha Mrityunjaya Ayushya homam, Markandeya homam, Ganapathi homam and Lakshmi homam for the chief minister’s speedy recovery and long life.
A total of 108 materials, including nine kinds of grains, fruits, coconuts, betel leaves and nuts, were offered to the deity during the ceremony. Siddhar Rudra descended into the homa kundam and performed abhishekam and poojas, amidst the chanting of vedic hymns.
A large number of people participated in the homam and yagna, which started at 9am and lasted for six hours.
