“Patient” snatches chain from doctor

An unidentified person posing as a patient snatched a five sovereign gold chain from a doctor in a clinic in the evening hours on Saturday.
Dr. M. Revathi (55) runs a clinic in Vadavalli near Maruthamalai Road. On Saturday, an unidentified man of about 25 to 35 years entered her clinic at around 7.45 PM, pretending to suffer from food poisoning.
When Revathi began treating him, he snatched her five sovereign gold chain, hit the doctor on her head and fled the spot. Since nobody was present at the clinic, he escaped unnoticed.
Based on the complaint given by Revathi, the Vadavalli sub-division police have registered a case and are investigating.
