Petition to telecast Kalaignar, Sun, and Captain News channels

DMK cadre presented a petition to the District Collector Archana Patnaik, on Monday, requesting the State Government to broadcast Kalaignar; Sun and Captain News Channels in Coimbatore.
N. Prabakaran, DMK’s Ward Secretary of Kurichi, has said that the channels have been blocked in Coimbatore for the past year and half on the government cable televisions. These channels are available in districts.
“Media is unbiased and should not be contained in any way. Hence the Collector should suggest that the channels be broadcast in Coimbatore too,” he said.
