Plea to increase ceiling for purchasing gold

Nearly 700 jewellers and workers today took out processions at two places with lit candles urging the government to increase the ceiling on producing Pan Card for purchasing jewellery worth Rs.10 lakh.
Representing different associations, the protestors wanted the government to increase the ceiling from the present Rs. 2 lakh for producing Pan Card, or allowing those without Pan Card to file Form 60 for buying gold worth Rs.10 lakh.
