Plea to provide patta for Dalits

Coimbatore District Farmers’ Association submitted a petition to the District Collector asking for patta for Dalits living in Pachaapalyam Village in Annur Taluk.
The petition said that nearly 50 Dalits had been living in that village for more than 20 years. There had been several requests made to the officials concerned for patta for these people. But it had not materialised.
In 2013 May a petition had been filed with the District Adi Dravida Welfare Officer, but to no avail.
