A recent pre-poll survey forecasts no clear majority for any of the parties in the upcoming state elections, but says that the ruling All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) will have a lead over the DMK.It also said that BJP is not likely to win a single seat this time.

The survey, conducted by C-Voter, said the AIADMK and its alliances will win about 116 seats. They had secured 203 seats in 2011 – AIADMK (150), DMDK (29), CPM (10), and CPI (9).

The DMK-Congress alliance, according to the survey, is likely to win 101 seats, considerably more than the 31 seats it had won in 2011 – DMK (23), Congress (5), and PMK (3).

The survey also predicted a decrease in the AIADMK’s vote share from 51.9 percent to 41.1 percent.

Despite all the media noise being made about the DMDK, the survey says that the party and the PMK will together not get more than 17 seats. The forecast is even worse for the BJP. The survey says that the party will draw a blank.
