PSG CAS organises first aid and road safety symposium

A First Aid and Road Safety Symposium was organized by PSG College of Arts & Science in collaboration with Alert NGO on September 25, 2024. The presidential address was delivered by Dr.D.Brindha, Principal, PSG College of Arts & Science .The Chief Guest Mr. V. Balakrishnan IPS, Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore, inaugurated the event and in his address emphasized the role of first aid training as the best way to save lives’. Mr. M. Karthikeyan, President of CODISSIA, and Ms. Kala Balasundaram, Founder Trustee of Alert NGO were Guests of honour for the event. Dr. Yamini Subramani, In-charge, Department of Emergency Medicine, PSG Superspeciality Hospital, Coimbatore delivered the Valedictory Address. The event featured five competitions with themes related to first aid and road safety, including mobile photography, quiz, reel creation, flameless cooking, and Ad-Zap. It was attended by 800 students, and 300 students actively participated in the competitions.
