PSG College of Arts & Science Celebrates National Science Day 2025 in association with National Council for Science & Technology Communication (Department of Science and Technology, Government of India) and Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology (Department of Higher Education, Government of Tamil Nadu).

PSG College of Arts & Science in association with National Council for Science & Technology Communication and Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology marked the occasion of National Science Day 2025 with a prestigious inaugural event, bringing together distinguished academicians and industry leaders to celebrate scientific advancements and innovation. The program began with a warm welcome address by Dr. D. Victor Arokia Doss, Nodal Officer of the event, who spoke about the importance of science education and its role in national development. The felicitation address was delivered by Dr. M. Senguttuvan, Principal in-charge of PSGCAS underlining the pivotal role of science and technology in addressing contemporary challenges. The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. C. Karthikeyan, Professor and Head of the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore. Dr. Karthikeyan shared valuable insights into the contributions of science in agriculture and rural development. Sri. T. R. Vijaykumar, General Secretary of NIFT-TEA College of Knitwear Fashion, Tiruppur, also addressed the gathering, stressing the importance of technological advancements through innovation and addressing the key challenges of the society. The event saw enthusiastic participation from schools across Coimbatore, Erode, and Nilgiris districts. The initial rounds of the competitions were conducted at respective schools, with finalists competing at PSG College of Arts & Science. The event aimed to ignite scientific curiosity among students and encouraged them to pursue innovative research. Following the final round of competitions, the Valedictory Ceremony marked the culmination of the event, where the prize winners were honored for their outstanding performances. National Science Day at PSG College of Arts & Science stood as a testament to the institution’s commitment to fostering scientific temper and encouraging future generations to engage in meaningful research and innovation.
