PSG College of Nursing holds 18th graduation ceremony

PSG College of Nursing celebrated its 18th graduation ceremony at PSG’s IMS&R Auditorium here today.

In all, 89 graduates from the batch of 2011 and 12 postgraduates from the batch of 2014 received their degrees.

The chief guest of the occasion, Dr S Geethalakshmi M.D, Ph.D., Vice Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Dr M G R Medical University, Chennai, awarded the graduates.

During the occasion, Vani Devi D of the 2011 batch received the Best Outgoing Student award among the undergraduates. Among the postgraduates, Lekha J was given the best clinical and academic award and Gokila S won the best researcher award.

Dr Geethalakshmi in her speech advised the graduates to venture out and be determined in the profession. She emphasised on need-based care in public health at the grassroots level and the importance of research-based nursing to mark a policy for the health sector.
