Public asked to collect smart ration cards by Sept 10

A total of 5.13 lakh Smart Cards have been issued to the ration card holders in Coimbatore district so far.
With 10 circles, the district has 9,79,324 card holders in 1,419 ration shops and 6.87 lakh Smart cards were already processed, with 1.74 lakh remaining pending for distribution, collector, T.N. Hariharan said in a statement today.
The Collector appealed to the people who were yet to receive the smart card to approach their respective ration shops and collect on or before September 10.
