Quiz contest held to celebrate Engineers Day

The Coimbatore Civil Engineers Association (COCENA) joined hands with Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, and hosted a quiz contest to commemorate the Engineers Day, which falls on September 15.
The district-level competition was open to final year students of Civil Engineering. About 40 teams from various engineering colleges in Coimbatore city participated in the quiz contest. The contest was hosted by quiz master Selvaraj. The questions were pertaining to civil engineering and the recent trends in the field.
A press release from Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology said that the aim of the quiz competition was to motivate the students, test their knowledge, promote engineering, and honour the budding engineers on Engineers Day.
Avinashilingam University emerged the overall winners. The team from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology and Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology were declared the first and second runners-up respectively.
The winning teams will be awarded with cash prizes on Engineers Day, September 15.
