Rain likely in City today

The advancing of the Southwest monsoon into some more parts of southwest, southeast and east central Bay of Bengal make conditions favourable for rain in the City today. It will be moderate showers accompanied with thunderstorm, according to the Met department.
There is likelihood of thunderstorm along with squall today in some parts of the State and Puducherry for the next four days, it says.
The heat wave conditions are to be expected to continue in some places over the State and people have been asked to take precautionary steps.
