PMK, today, asked Tamil Nadu Government to come out with a white paper, like economic review, on the financial status of the State, before presenting the annual budget.
The State’s finance was in doldrums and the debt was estimated at Rs. 2 lakh crore, PMK founder-leader, S. Ramadoss told reporters here.
Ramadoss, here to participate in a demonstration seeking Rs.30 per kg price for tea leaves, exuded confidence that the problem of tea growers would end by May, as his party was sure to come to power after the 2016 elections.
He said that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa “would have the honour of stepping
down from the post for the third time, after the final hearing of the disproportionate assets case, scheduled to begin from February 2”. Also, former Union Minister, A. Raja and DMK MP, Kanimozhi would also go to jail in the 2G Spectrum case coming up on February 1.
When asked about PMK chief ministerial candidate and his son Anbumani facing CBI probe in medical college scam, Ramadoss said that the case was foisted by the Congress. He also added that Anbumani would come out clean.
On poll alliance, he said that barring DMK and AIADMK, any political party, willing to accept Anbumani as Chief Minister, was welcome. Stating that the first signature after PMK came to power would be on setting up the Lok Ayukta, he added that the party would promise free, burden-less, compulsory and quality education to all.
He pointed out that the law and order situation had deteriorated in the last four-year rule of
AIADMK, during which there was a record of 9,986 murders and over one lakh crimes, including thefts and burglary.
