Rash driving kills two in Coimbatore

Two men were killed in Coimbatore due to rash driving yesterday.

75-year-old Pechiannan from Irugur was walking down the Coimbatore-Trichy road when he was hit from behind by two men on a motorcycle. He was immediately admitted to the Ramakrishna Hospital but died during treatment.

Police are searching for the motorcycle-borne men who had fled the spot after the accident.

In another incident, 44-year-old Sreekumar was hit by the driver of the Universal Travel bus at the Coimbatore-Avinashi Road. Eyewitnesses claim that it was the negligent driving on the part of the bus driver that had caused the accident. Sreekumar was grievously injured and was rushed to

Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital where he died.
