Chennai: Apollo Hospitals Group executive chairman Dr Prathap C Reddy said he was ready to face the inquiry commission, if required, regarding medical treatment given to former Chief Minister late J Jayalalitha.

The statement came in response to queries by mediapersons over the controversy surrounding her treatment and her death. She was admitted in Apollo on September 22, 2016, and passed away on December 5, creating a political turmoil in the State.

Her death was amid huge controversies with the O Paneerselvam camp allegeing that Sasikala and her family had a hand in it.

“No one interfered with the treatment of the Chief Minister. All efforts were taken by the doctors and we have records to show our efforts.

We are ready to face the probe commission if necessary,” he said on the sidelines of an event here.
