Lucknowi cuisine,influenced from Moghalia, Nawabi and North West Frontier cuisines, is one of the exotic cuisines of the country. Originally from Afghanistan and Iran came to India through Nawabs who settled in and around Lucknow.

The festival which started on August 4 ends on August 13.

The Residency group of hotels’ Master Chef Shaik Mukhtar,who has won many accolades and also has cooked for the King of Dubai, told The Covai Post, ” Lamb main course gravy ,Lucknowi Boti Kebab, Mutton kebab are some of my signature dishes. Cooking became my passion once I started helping my mother in kitchen. Being passionate is important, the younger generation’s lean towards passion is a good sign”.

Murgh pasanda kebab, Lucknowi tandoori chicken, Gosht galouti kebab, Lucknowi boti kebab, Nawabi fish tikka, Gulabi tawa chumna machili and Husn-E-Pari are some of the non-vegetarian highlights of the festival.
