Rifle and pistol shooting championships to begin tomorrow in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: More than 500 shooters, including internationally-reputed sportspersons like Gayathri and Shrinivetha, are expected to participate in the 42nd Tamil Nadu State Shooting Championship for Rifle and Pistol, beginning tomorrow, here in Coimbatore.
Other big names, such as Srinithi Aberami, Mithilesh, Sandhya, Sarvesh Swaroop, Adarsh Chetty, and Ajay Nitesh, and experienced shooters from various clubs, including the Tamil Nadu Police, will be seen in action during the five-day event.
The event is also a qualifying one for the upcoming South Zone and Pre-National Shooting Competitions.
The championship will be inaugurated by the district collector, TN Hariharan, in the presence of the City Police Commissioner, A Amalraj.
