Rotary Club to honour police personnel

COIMBATORE: Rotary Club has decided to honour 10 police personnel, including four women, for their meritorious and honest services on January 20 here.

Madras High Court Judge Justice S Baskaran will give away the awards to the police personnel at the function ‘Knights in Kakis’, District Director Vocational Services of the Club N Sundara Vadivelu told reporters here on Wednesday.

“These personnel were selected from across the district by their department with a criteria of honesty, sincerity, investigation capacity and ability,” he said.

“The Postal department will bring out a stamp in honour of T.T. Rathnasabhapathy Pillai, past president and founder of the club RI District 3201 at the function,” he said. District Superintendent of Police Dr. Pa. Moorthy will be present on the occasion, he said.
