Samathuva pongal celebrated

District Collector Archana Patnaik on Sunday inaugurated the Pollachi Festival at Aachipatty Panchayat in Pollachi.
Participating in the Samathuva Pongal, which was celebrated during the inauguration, the collector also did some cooking, by adding rice to the Pongal pot.
Various traditional games including Uri adithal, and dances including Silambam, Karagam, and Parai attam, were conducted as part of the celebrations.
Hundreds of people participated in the festival.
