Selfie claims life of a youth

Body of a 22-year old youth, who accidentally fell in the Catharine falls in Kotagiri in nearby Nilgiris district yesterday, while taking selfie, was recovered today.
According to police, Ranjithkumar of Mettupalayam was on a sight-seeing trip in Kotagiri and was attempting to take selfie at the falls.
However, he fell after loosing balance. Though fire and rescue personnel carried out search, due to heavy rains and gush of water, it had to stop midway.
The body was retrieved this noon and was handed over to family, police said
