Senior citizen commits suicide

A septuagenarian from Vellalore committed suicide by consuming yellow cow-dung powder, on Saturday.
According to sources, P. Karuppaiyah (76) from Megarali Street in Vellolore was staying here with his wife Saraswathy (62). He frequently quarrelled with his family members over financial issues and this has added miseries to his life.
Frustrated with this, Karuppaiyah had reportedly consumed yellow cow-dung powder mixed with water and died. A case has been registered with the Podanur police station and they have started the investigation.
