SI on duty dies of cardiac arrest

Coimbatore : A Sub Inspector of Police, attached to Mettupalayam station, died of massive cardiac arrest during his morning rounds Sunday.

The  37-year-old Bhaskaran, hailing from Sathyamangalam in' Erode district, was on patrol duty. Noticing some colleagues playing in the stadium he joined them.
   
A little later he  complained of chest pain and fell unconscious, police said.
  
He was rushed to the government hospital in Mettupalayam, where he was declared brought dead.
   
Bhaskaran leaves behind his wife and a 10-year old daughter.
